You can leave a very strong impression on the interviewer if you’re prepared for this one.  Don’t fear this question for any longer because we are going to provide you with tips to answer this question with ease the next time you are interviewed! Resume Talk Don’t Before crafting the perfect answer, we are going to tell you what to avoid! Be sure you are not regurgitating the bullets on your resume. The interviewer has already read your resume, that’s why they called you in for an interview. Do Instead, dive deeper than the bullets and explain the high points and accomplishments you have achieved in your career. This helps to stand out against other candidates being interviewed. Each accomplishment is unique! Sell Yourself Don’t Selling yourself is not an opportunity to brag or express cockiness. There is a significant difference between providing an elevator pitch and saying you’re the best fit for the position with no explanation as to why. Do State how you made a difference in the last position you were in by providing factual evidence. Instead of saying “I was the best developer on our team”, say something measurable, like “I was able to implement cross-browser testing which corrected layout dysfunctions on our company website” Making a statement like this proves you have many hard and soft skills in one single act!  The Formula For Success Don’t Don’t walk into the interview unprepared to answer this question. It is one of the most common interview questions that you should be expecting to answer. Do Before going into an interview, prepare an elevator pitch leading up to it. This is typically no more than 2 minutes and sums up your greatest accomplishments and tailored to fit why you are best for the company and position you’re about to interview for. You should start with a few sentences about who you are, years in the industry, and what you are currently doing or most recently did. You can add a few of your best accomplishments next and end with why you’re looking to be a part of their company and assuming a role there! Make it to the point and effective. An interviewer will be wowed with a well thought out and prepared answer. Taking the time to prepare for an interview shows the interviewer how committed you are to the position. With our easy do’s and don’ts provided above, you’ll be sure to nail your next interview!
